Name
- Must reflect the content, for example, “English in 30 Days” rather than an abstract name.
- Prohibited: clickbait, superlatives such as “the best,” all caps, and guaranteed income claims.
- Not allowed: “Ways to Earn Millions of Rubles in the Shortest Possible Time.”
- Allowed: “Learn Which Methods Can Help Increase Your Income.”
Description
- Must provide information about the bot’s functionality, product, or course and include relevant links.
- Prohibited: superlatives, clickbait, claims such as “number one” or “the best,” and esoteric wording such as “healing the soul.”
Welcome Message
- Must be displayed before the Start button.
- Must not redirect users to prohibited Telegram content or contain guaranteed income claims or clickbait.
Functionality and Navigation
The bot must launch after the user presses
/start.Required elements:
- A persistent menu with an option to go back.
- Free and useful content, such as videos, guides, or articles.
- An option to submit an inquiry, including contact details and a description of the user’s activities.
If the bot offers a paid subscription, a trial period is mandatory.
The bot will not pass moderation if: it is used only to collect contact details or redirect users; it contains no free content; or its quizzes produce the same results regardless of the user’s answers.
Tests must provide results without requiring an email address or phone number. Data collection is allowed only after the result has been provided and must include an opt-out button.
Channel subscriptions are allowed but must not affect the amount of content provided.
Notification limit: no more than once per day.
External links are allowed only as a supplementary element and must not be the bot’s primary purpose.
Important: the bot’s content must not be replaced after it passes moderation.
Basic Bot Content Required for Moderation
To ensure a successful launch, the bot must include:
- A welcome message displayed before launch.
- A persistent menu describing the available features.
- A description of the product, company, or expert.
- A profile image representing the product, company logo, or expert.
- Contact details, such as a website or channel, in the description or content.
- An action button, such as “Submit an inquiry” or “Buy,” with a brief offer.

- Messages must not create unrealistic expectations.

The content must be appropriate. Clickbait is prohibited both in the bot description and in its messages.
Guaranteed income claims are prohibited.

Wording such as “everything you need,” “the complete package of materials,” and other absolute claims will not pass moderation.
Do not spam users every five minutes to pressure them into taking action.

Buttons:
- Menu: displays a short message explaining what the user can expect from the bot, along with additional buttons.
- About the Product/Company: describes what is being offered in the funnel, including the offer or expert’s profile.
- Contacts: provides the company’s website or other contact details.
- Submit an Inquiry/Buy: includes a brief product description and a button for contacting a manager or visiting the website to make a purchase.
If you plan to create a shopping bot with products — a full-fledged marketplace on Telegram — you must provide information about:
- the company;
- payment methods;
- delivery options, including delivery types and payment methods;
- contact details;
- certificates, which must be added if available.
In other words, the bot must function as a complete copy of the store within Telegram.
