How does an ad work when targeting multiple channels simultaneously? Will it be displayed on channels where the CPM is higher than set, or will it only appear on channels where the auction allows?

The ad will only be displayed on channels at the specified CPM rate. It will not show on channels where the auction bid is higher.

Which creatives are more effective: those that mention the channel name with @name or not? Is there a correlation with ad results?

We recommend including a link to the channel/bot in the creative text, as this increases the CTR by highlighting the link in a different color.

Does the method of attracting subscribers to a channel affect the future quality of the ads?

No, it does not.

My ads are targeted at Russia, but I see subscribers from other countries. Why?

In Telegram Ads, you can target by the channel's language (Russian) or by the user's location (country, city). However, you cannot restrict subscribers according to nationality. So anyone can subscribe to the channel if they are located in the Russian Federation.

What is the purpose of launching ads in bulk and breaking them down by a single targeting channel?

If you target a large number of channels, there is no guarantee that all will be covered at a single rate. For precise targeting, we recommend launching ads by individual channels or small pools of channels with similar characteristics (reach, CPM).

Can bots subscribe to me through Telegram Ads?

Bot accounts created for spam purposes can subscribe. Much also depends on the quality of traffic attracted to the channel, which is part of the targeting group.

Is it possible in Telegram Ads to see who is advertising with targeting on my channel?

This feature is not available in Telegram Ads. However, you can use a spy bot in Telegram that will show all advertisers based on keywords.

Can I target closed channels/chats?

Ads can only be shown on these channels through user-based targeting, not specific channel settings.

Is there retargeting in Telegram?

Yes. You can set up retargeting by creating an ad that targets your own advertising channel.

Which channels are included in topics?

These include all public channels in Russian, with at least 1,000 subscribers, that match the keywords of the selected topic. There are exceptions for some political channels that are not included in any topic, and ads cannot be shown there.
